Park and Palace of Monserrate
Garden Entrance
This area was designed primarily for the family and their guests staying at Monserrate. Its central positioning, highly common to British summer houses, enabled the circulation of persons to take place comfortably and informally. This also provided for a connection between the garden and the social rooms – the sitting, music, and billiards rooms – without going through the Library and the Main Entranceway and, simultaneously, to access the stairwell leading to the upper floor.
