All parks and monuments are open with new and essential measures in order to safeguard the health and safety conditions for both members of staff and visitors in accordance with the directives stipulated by the respective authorities for the prevention of COVID-19.
The new norms for accessing the heritage sites run by Parques de Sintra include the wearing of facemasks and the conditioned entrance of visitors so as to guarantee the capacities inside remain within the limits stipulated by the health authorities. Visitors are also urged to observe the minimum safety distance and to regularly wash their hands, as well as to prioritize payments by bank card or via the MBWay digital platform. There is also a suspension in effect over the renting of audio-guides to individual visitors and radio-guides for group visits with external guides having to provide and bring their own radio-guide system.
These and other measures are coupled with increases to the frequency of the systematic cleaning and disinfection of these sites and especially focusing on areas with higher levels of public convergence.
