Sintra Hills closed this Saturday; more guided tours at the National Palaces of Sintra and Queluz
12 Jun 2026
This Saturday, June 13, Parques de Sintra will exceptionally increase the number of guided tours at the National Palaces of Sintra and Queluz, which will remain open under normal conditions.
This measure follows the closure of monuments located within the forest perimeter of the Sintra Hills, decided due to prevention and safety concerns in light of extreme weather conditions and the increased risk of wildfires.
At the National Palace of Queluz, two tours will be available at 10:30 am and 2:30 pm. At the National Palace of Sintra, an additional guided tour will be available at 10:30 am.
The guided tours allow visitors to discover the history, architecture, and main spaces of these two royal monuments, through routes led by specialized guides.
All tours are available through Parques de Sintra’s online ticketing system.
For detailed information about the closed monuments, as well as ticket use, rescheduling, or refunds, please consult the notice published by Parques de Sintra.
