Closure of the Sintra Hills forest perimeter this Saturday, 13 June, for safety reasons
Extreme weather conditions and the resulting increase in the risk of forest fire affecting the region have led the Municipality of Sintra to order the closure of the Serra de Sintra forest perimeter, as well as the monuments located within it, on Saturday, 13 June, for prevention and safety reasons.
On this day, the following monuments will be closed:
- Park and National Palace of Pena
- Moorish Castle
- Park and Palace of Monserrate
- Convent of the Capuchos
The National Palaces of Sintra and Queluz, as well as the facilities of the Portuguese School of Equestrian Art, in Belém, will remain open as usual.
On Saturday, 13 June, tickets purchased for any of the closed monuments may be used, on that same day, to visit either the National Palace of Sintra or the National Palace of Queluz.
If the ticket is used at either of these monuments, the visit will be considered completed, and no full or partial refund, nor any price adjustment in relation to the ticket originally purchased, will be due.
