8 August 2023 - Access conditions to the Sintra Hills have been normalized

After the prohibition of vehicle circulation in the forest perimeter of the Sintra Hills on August 7, 2023 due to a very high risk of forest fire, on August 8 access conditions have been normalized.

The Park and National Palace of Pena, the Moorish Castle and the Convent of the Capuchos are, therefore, accessible as usual.
