Temporary Closure of Sites within the Forest Perimeter

Due to the worsening weather conditions and following the Government's declaration of an alert situation, some sites located within the forest area of the Sintra Mountains will be temporarily closed to the public from Friday, 3 July.

The following sites are closed: the Convent of the Capuchos, the Farmyard of Monserrate, the Sanctuary of Peninha, the Forest Park of Pena, the Chalet of the Countess of Edla and the Stables of the Park of Pena.

The situation will be reassessed in line with the evolution of the weather conditions and the guidance issued by the competent authorities.

Parques de Sintra recommends that visitors check its official channels before their visit and always follow the instructions issued by the authorities and on-site teams.

The alert situation will remain in force until 11.59 pm on Monday, 6 July.
