02/11/2025: Traffic restrictions due to the “Sintra Trail Cruz Alta” event

Due to the Sintra Trail Cruz Alta sporting event taking place on 2 November, there will be road closures and traffic restrictions on the access routes to all monuments, with the exception of the National Palace of Queluz.

Visitors planning to travel to the National Palace of Sintra, the Park and National Palace of Pena, the Chalet of the Countess of Edla, the Moorish Castle, the Park and Palace of Monserrate, or the Convent of the Capuchos should be aware of the following road closures and traffic restrictions on that day:

• Access to Sintra town centre and Volta do Duche closed from 8:00 to 9:15;
• Restricted access to the National Palace of Pena from 8:00 to 11:00;
• Restrictions on the Monserrate road from 9:00 to 13:30.

We recommend that visitors plan their visit accordingly, taking these temporary traffic restrictions into account.
