Visit to the Chalet of the Countess of Edla
In 1999, a fire destroyed the Chalet of the Countess of Edla, one of the most emblematic buildings in the Park of Pena. The proposed route shows how history led to the work and how the work made history. From architecture to civil engineering, from physics to chemistry, from history to biology, all areas of knowledge played a part in the rehabilitation of this historical building, which is also a unique landmark of the history of King Ferdinand II and his second wife, Elise Hensler, Countess of Edla.
