Along the slope to Pena
This route leads directly to the main entrance of the Park of Pena from the Parques de Sintra information Centre and offers a forest walk with mostly gentle gradients and the occasional short but steep slope and some sections of unpaved road. It is suitable for all ages but requires a reasonable level of fitness. It is a good option for returning to the starting point for those walking the Santa Maria route, taking in the Moorish Castle and Park of Pena.
