Parques de Sintra introduces new features to the exhibition route at the National Palace of Queluz

02 Sept 2026

At the National Palace of Queluz, Parques de Sintra is currently carrying out a series of improvements to the exhibition route aimed at enhancing and expanding the visitor experience. Soon, visitors will have access to new spaces featuring new content and objects from the monument’s collections, helping to provide a better understanding of the figures and experiences that have shaped its history.

To allow these works to proceed, access to some areas of the visitor route is temporarily restricted, namely:

Queen Carlota Joaquina’s Chambers, scheduled to reopen in October 2026;

Sacred Art Collection, a new space scheduled to open in November 2026;

As part of Parques de Sintra’s mission, these interventions form part of an ongoing process of research, conservation and heritage enhancement, enabling spaces to be restored, new narratives to be developed and new content to be made available, enriching the visitor experience.

Parques de Sintra regrets any inconvenience caused by these temporary restrictions and thanks all visitors for their understanding.
