National Palace of Pena inspires LEGO® model
25 Apr 2026
A detailed scale model recreating the monument using 3,792 authentic LEGO® pieces is on display in the shop at the National Palace of Pena. Every detail has been carefully designed to capture the vibrant architecture and charm of one of Portugal’s, and the world’s, most iconic buildings.
The replica was created by Ricky Jenks, a British national of Portuguese descent, who brought together two passions in this work: the National Palace of Pena, as an important landmark of national culture, and LEGO® constructions. The project is currently active on the LEGO® Ideas platform, which gives fans the opportunity to transform their original creations into official LEGO® sets.
If the project reaches 5,000 votes by January 31st, 2027, it will move on to a new voting stage. In the following stage, if it succeeds in reaching 10,000 votes, it will be formally assessed by LEGO®’s internal design and marketing team, which may decide to produce and market the model worldwide.
