    24/01/2026: Moorish Castle, Convent of the Capuchos and Chalet of the Countess of Edla closed

    Parques De Sintra Castelo Dos Mouros Torrereal

    On Saturday, 24 January 2026, due to adverse weather conditions, the following monuments will be closed to the public for safety reasons:

     

    • Moorish Castle
    • Convent of the Capuchos
    • Chalet of the Countess of Edla

     

    The Vila Sassetti and the Santa Maria hiking trails are also closed.

     

    The situation will be continuously monitored, and any updates will be communicated through Parques de Sintra’s official channels.

     

    We recommend extra caution when travelling in the Sintra Hills and thank you for your understanding.
