25/07/2025: Convent of the Capuchos temporarily closed
The Convent of the Capuchos is temporarily closed due to the declaration of VERY HIGH Rural Fire Risk, which has restricted access to the Sintra Hills from 8:30 am on 25 July until the end of 29 July 2025.
The barriers within the forest perimeter have been closed, and access to the Convent of the Capuchos is prohibited at the Calçada da Pena junction.
