In this masterclass, violinist and composer Dominic Ingham invites participants to dive into his musical world, sharing his approaches to composition, improvisation, and performing original material in a group setting.

The session will be shaped in an open and flexible way, allowing it to follow different directions depending on the interests and needs of those attending. A recurring focus in Dominic’s work is the deep connection to the instrument through the voice — an approach that fosters greater musical awareness and expressiveness, and one that will certainly be explored throughout the session.

Another key topic will be the use and development of jazz language on non-conventional instruments, drawing from Dominic’s own experience as a violinist in the world of contemporary jazz.

A valuable opportunity for students and professional musicians alike to discover new creative tools in an environment of sharing, listening, and experimentation.
