Luís Figueiredo and Miguel Ramalho
We challenged two of the most renowned artists in their fields — ballet dancer and choreographer Miguel Ramalho and jazz pianist Luís Figueiredo — to meet on common ground: the realm of real-time creation.
Drawing on the languages of ballet and jazz, both artists share a common ground: creation and improvisation as forms of listening, dialogue and discovery. In this new performance, sound and movement intertwine in a space of freedom and risk, where the body and the piano influence one another in a continuous process of transformation.
The result of this collaboration will have its world premiere at our Festival, revealing a sensitive landscape where precision meets instinct and creative freedom.
