Access to the Palace of Pena and the Moorish Castle returns to normal with the reopening of Rampa da Pena

From this Saturday, 28 February, Rampa da Pena will reopen and it will once again be possible to access the Palace of Pena and the Moorish Castle via this route. The road, which is closed to private vehicles, had been temporarily shut to traffic following the recent severe weather.

Public transport services will therefore resume their usual route.

The Convent of the Capuchos will remain closed to the public until the Civil Protection authorities deem that the necessary safety conditions are in place for its reopening.

Information will be kept up to date through the official channels of Parques de Sintra, following a daily assessment of safety conditions at the various sites.
