Lisbon Rally stages in the Sintra Hills to restrict access to the Convent of the Capuchos and Sanctuary of Peninha

22 Oct 2025

On 1 November, the Sintra Hills will host two Special Classification Stages (SCS) of the Lisbon Rally, which will affect access to both the Convent of the Capuchos and the Sanctuary of Peninha. The two stages will take place along the N247-3 road, between Pé da Serra, the Convent of the Capuchos, and the Forest Road of Peninha, finishing at the junction with the N247, near Azóia. For safety reasons, this section will be closed to vehicular traffic between 12:00 pm and 5:00 pm.

The Lisbon Rally, held on 31 October and 1 November, is the event that will determine the winner of the Portuguese Rally Cup. Organised by the CPKA – Clube de Promoção de Karting e Automobilismo [Karting and Motor Racing Promotion Club], the rally is supported by the Municipal Council of Sintra and covers the municipalities of Lisbon, Sintra, Cascais, Mafra, Alenquer, Vila Franca de Xira, Sobral de Monte Agraço, and Arruda dos Vinhos, encompassing a total of four sections and 13 special classification stages.
