João Sousa Rego (President)

Holds a degree in Architecture, with postgraduate studies in Smart Cities and in Financial Management. He served as Director of Project Coordination at Carris, responsible for urban planning and the expansion of Lisbon’s public transport network. At Parques de Sintra, he held the position of Director of Built Heritage, overseeing the conservation of monuments, the management of restoration works, and the implementation of the Cultural Landscape of Sintra Management Plan (UNESCO). He was also Coordinator of the intermunicipal project Eixo Verde e Azul. He served as Adviser to the Ministry of Environment and Energy in the XIX Portuguese Government, and as Director of Rehabilitation and New Urban Projects at EPUL. He was Vice-President of the Portuguese Association of Historic Gardens and President of CISV Portugal, an international organisation for intercultural education for peace.

José Lino Fonseca Ramos (Director)

Graduating in Law in 1993, with a post-graduate qualification in Legal Sciences from the Universidade Autónoma de Lisboa, he completed the Advanced Economy and Business Management Programme at the Universidade Católica and attended a Post-Graduate in Cultural Heritage Law at the Universidade de Direito de Lisboa. Councillor in Sintra Town Council, between 2002/2013. Prefect of Lisbon. He has sat on the board of various public companies, namely Sanest – Saneamento da Costa do Estoril, SA., Tratolixo – Tratamento de Resíduos Sólidos, EIM., and AMTRES – Associação de Municípios para o Tratamento de Resíduos Sólidos. Board Member of the Lisbon Tourism Association, between 2011/2013. Deputy of the Assembly of the Republic in the 12th legislature, having been vice-President of the Parliamentary Commission on Foreign Affairs; Coordinator of the Parliamentary Commission for Environment, Planning and Public Works; and member of the Commission for European Affairs and the Economic Commission. Partner at the law firm TLR & Associates. Member of the Board of Parques de Sintra from 2012 to 2022, a position he has taken up again since 2025.

Paula Amador (Director)

Holds a degree in Human Resource Management and Occupational Psychology (ISLA), with certification in Neuro-Linguistic Programming, Innovation Management, and Digital Transformation (CATÓLICA-PORTO Business School). She has extensive experience in Human Resource Management, combined with specialisation in Competency-Based Management – human capital management, adaptive leadership, and change management. She has held executive administrative and financial management positions in private companies, provided municipal consultancy in process re-engineering and human capital, coordinated the Office for Special Projects and Management Support at Santa Casa da Misericórdia de Lisboa, served as Marketing Director of AHRESP, and Adviser to the Deputy Councillor of the Mayor of Lisbon. She was also a founding partner of several innovative projects, most notably the first cybercafé in Portugal (1995).
