Visit to the Palace and Gardens of Queluz
The Palace and Gardens of Queluz are a heritage site whose golden age was the eighteenth century, during the reign of Pedro III and Maria I. Known for their sophisticated social events, the Palace and Gardens of Queluz received the court in surroundings of refinement and beauty, a reflection of the French and Italian influences of the time. On the visit, you will learn about daily life at court here, as well as the entire historical context of its origin, occupation and legacy over the centuries. In the gardens, we take a look at the main spaces and explore themes related to botany, fauna, history and the artistic and architectural aspects of the different green zones and leisure areas contained within them.
