IMAGE RECORDING IN THE AREAS MANAGED BY PARQUES DE SINTRA

a) The capture of photographic or video images in the areas managed by Parques de Sintra – Monte da Lua (PSML), which are not intended for purely amateur and personal purposes, is subject to prior authorization, whether they are obtained either outdoor or indoors;

b) The capture of images is allowed, without flash or tripod, for personal and amateur use only. Commercial use is forbidden. For other purposes, permission must be requested to PSML;

c) The use of flash or tripod indoors is prohibited, except with prior authorization;

d) Any commercial or public use of the images is prohibited without prior consent by PSML;

e) The authorised images intended for commercial or public use shall mandatorily include reference to Parques de Sintra – Monte da Lua, except when otherwise agreed;

f) In any circumstances, PSML declines responsibility on any thefts or damages to the photographic or filming equipment brought by the requesting party;

g) Any authorization request for image capture must be done in writing (by e-mail, mail or fax) to comunicacao@parquesdesintra.pt, with indication of:

– Entity/Person who seeks authorization

– Intended purpose for the images (including description and script)

– Intended location for the recording

– Date intended for the image recording and duration

– Type of equipment necessary

– Number of elements in the team

– Special requests

– Contacts

h) During the authorized process of image recording the following rules apply:

– The normal atmosphere of the parks and monuments must not be disturbed;

– In no case should the visits and/or the visitors of the park or monuments in question be interfered with;

– No equipment that interferes with the normal visit circuit in the parks and monuments in question may be used;

– No material, equipment or waste may be left on the scene;

– All safety rules must be abided by.

Photography

1.1 Authorization requests for photography shoots must be made a minimum of two whole weekdays in advance with a written description of the areas and objects in question as well as the intended purpose of the images;

1.2 The images captured cannot be used to any purposes other than those authorized;

1.3 Of any authorized image captured a digital copy must be delivered to PSML;

1.4 All images thus delivered may be used internally by Parques de Sintra and the location, on editions or websites promoted by the company, with reference to the author;

1.5 These images cannot be surrendered by PSML to third parties, without prior written authorization by their authors.

Video recording

1.1 Any filming or video recording must be previously authorized by PSML, and its use restricted to the purposes for which it was authorized;

1.2 Authorization requests for filming or video recording must be made a minimum of ten weekdays in advance with a written description of the areas in question as well as the intended purpose of the images;

1.3 The images captured cannot be used to any purposes other than those authorized;

1.4 The requesting entity undertakes to mention Parques de Sintra and the location in the credits of his work and to send two copies of the resulting work on DVD;

Any image recording for commercial or promotional use will be subject to budgeting depending on the type of work involved.

Parques de Sintra reserves the right to refuse any image recording request for the sites under its management.
