IMAGE CAPTURE IN AREAS UNDER THE GUARDIANSHIP OF
PARQUES DE SINTRA MONTE DA LUA
RULES AND REGULATIONS
a) All photography or video captured in the areas safeguarded by Parques de Sintra – Monte da Lua (PSML) are subject to prior authorization, either exterior or interiors of the built heritage; excluding the surrounding areas, which may be captured (without a tripod) without prior authorization, for personal amateur use only.
b) Any commercial or public usage of the images taken without prior authorization by PSML is not allowed.
c) The authorized images, and intended for commercial or public use, must include reference to Parques de Sintra – Monte da Lua.
d) The broadcast images used by the media in inaugurations, temporary expositions or other events must be authorized in advance by PSML. These can only be used in their own media outlets and only referring to the event in question.
e) Image capture, without flash or tripod is allowed, for personal amateur use only but forbidden for commercial purposes. For other purpose an authorization must be granted from PSML.
f) Under no circumstances does PSML accept responsibility for theft or damage to photographic or filming equipment brought by the applicants.
g) The applications for image capture authorization must be submitted in writing (email, post or fax), to the PSML Communications Department, stating:
a. Entity/Person requesting the authorization
b. Purpose for the images
c. Desired location for capture
d. Desired date for capture
e. Kind of equipment used
f. Number of elements of the team
g. Contacts
h) During the authorized image capture, the following rules must be obeyed:
a. Do not disturb the normal operation of the Parks and built heritage
b. Do not interfere with the visit or disturb the visitors of the site in question
c. Do not use equipment that may disturb the normal route in the parks and built heritage
d. Do not leave equipment or rubbish at the site
e. Respect the safety rules
1. Photography
1.1. The authorization applications for photographic capture must be submitted at least 48 hours in advance, as well as the purpose for which they are intended.
1.2. The captured pictures may not be used for other purposes other than those authorized.
1.3. A copy of the pictures taken with authorization from PSML must be given to the firm;digitallyor a transparency film.
1.4. The submitted pictures may be used by PSML for internal use, in publications or sites promoted by this firm, with prior authorization of the author.
1.5. The pictures will not be submitted by PSML to third parties, without prior written authorization of its authors.
2. Video
2.1. Filming or video recordings must be previously authorized by PSML, and its use is restricted for what it was authorized.
2.2. The authorization applicationsfor video capture must be submitted at least 10 business days in advance, determining in writing the sites and species in question, as well as the purposes to which they are intended.
2.3. The captured footage maynot be used for other purposes other than those authorized.
2.4. The applicant is obliged to mention PSML in the credits and send two DVD copies of the final product.
PRICE TABLE (to all prices is added VAT to the legal rate in force)
1. PHOTOGRAPHS
1.1. Image capture may only be made in the locations previously authorized.
1.2. There is no limit for the number of images that may be captured, and may be done in half a day (9:30 AM to 1 PM) or in a day (9:30 AM to 6:30 PM). It is possible to capture images outside of this time period; the application being considered and budgeted individually.
a) Teams up to 3 people;
½ day: 750 Euros
1 day: 1.400 Euros
2 days: 2.400 euros
b) Teams with more than 3 people:
Amount budgeted individually according to the characteristics of the work.
c) Wedding photo shoot
150 Euros
Note: Includes newlyweds and up to 4 people; allows the capture of the facades of the built heritage;additional external elements (e.g. Carriage) will be assessed individually.
d) Photographic surveys for academic purposes not involving publication:
The surveys for academic purposes not involving publication must be submitted to Parques de Sintra – Monte da Lua, in writing, so that its gratuity may be analysed.
2. VIDEO
a)Teams up to 5 people:
½ day: 1.150 Euros
1 day: 1.600 Euros
b) Teams with more than 5 people:
Amount budgeted individually according to the characteristics of the work.
