This is an original creation made especially with Monserrate in mind, with in its romantic and Iberian-Arab context that mirrors the majority of the monuments in Sintra and in Serra da Lua (Mountain of the Moon). In that light, this multidisciplinary creation (music, interpretation and dance) is based in magic and the occult world, with things that are not normally visible to the eye being unveiled with a sense of collective and mythological imagination that celebrates the fellowship between the worlds of nature and architecture.
In evoking the characteristics of the area, 'Lands of the Moon' plays on the moon and its sensibility, the mystery of dreams, the occult phase of our imagination and how the moon reflects the light of the sun.
A mixed cast of children and adults play out Monserrate's secrets, rituals, magic and grace in an act that is open to the general public and which invites you on a journey of feelings to where you dreams will become a reality. In using the potential of the space and its art in a crossover with the sensibility and beauty of the moon, the creation is played out in a land made of hidden treasures, history and legend.
