On the 18th of February, as part of our Carnival celebrations, a ballroom style masquerade competition will be held in the Palace of Pena at 2:30pm. Children and adults alike are invited to bring along a themed costume, masquerading as kings, queens, princes and princesses. A visit to recreate the history of the royal court in the 19th century will also be held in this historic monument. There will also be the opportunity to learn one of the royal court’s dances and the most creative masks will be awarded with prizes at the end of the day.
